Brigadier General David Wooster is not a direct ancestor of mine. Rather he is a first cousin of my g-g-g-g-g-grandfather Moses Wooster (1701 - before 1741). David's father Abraham was a brother of Moses's father Sylvester. That means that I am a first cousin seven times removed of the General. I believe that all living descendants (Wooster surname or otherwise) from Edward Wooster (circa 1622 - 1689) of Derby, Connecticut bear approximately that same relationship to him. There seem to be no documented direct descendants, and if the General's siblings have living descendants I am not aware of them.
