An Image and Floor Plan of the 1910 School
(Ephemera dating from 1915)
This image was offered on ebay in July 2004. I was high bidder unil
someone else "sniped" it with 13 seconds remaining. The date 1915 was
mentioned in the heading of the item. I believe that it must have been
a page from an architectural
magazine published in 1915.
The architect, J. Mills Platt, was from Rochester. Other buildings he designed include:
- The United Methodist Church in Warsaw, New York. It was built between 1901 and 1902.
- Sherburne High School (now vacant and Building #88002185 on the National
Register of Historic Places), 16 Chapel Street, Sherburne, Chenango County,
New York. The style is late Gothic Revival.
- The Oak Street School (now vacant and Building #03000243 on the National
Register of Historic Places), 205 Oak Street, Fulton, New York.
The style is Tudor Revival.
